• I would like to commend the students who are part of New Providence High School’s Intergenerational Club. They provide a necessary and much appreciated service to the community’s senior citizens.

    My elderly mother doesn't have the ability or the finances to take care of her leaves in the fall or snow during the winter. These students show up like the Calvary to help her every time I’ve called. I don't know how we would have managed without them.

    Kudos to them for their willingness to lend a hand. I wish more high schools would consider organizing similar clubs.

  • Summit College Club held its Book Sale fundraiser for scholarships in April 2022 with the help of the New Providence Intergenerational Club. Eight members of the club helped out, on four different days, by moving heavy boxes of books and sorting them into categories. Many of our members are senior citizens so moving boxes was essential.

    It was a pleasure to work with the students who were courteous and friendly. We would have been sorely tested to hold the sale without them.

  • To all the young people of the New Providence Intergenerational Club;

    Thank you so very much for everything you do for New Providence Senior Housing.

    You made a very hard, cold winter better for us by shoveling our cars out of snow and ice and bringing us wonderful treats.

    We wish you happy, healthy lives, and always remember how you made the seniors of our lovely New Providence so happy.

    -Thank you letter from residents of New Providence Affordable Senior Housing
