Uniting Generations.

In a society where racial and political issues dominate the headlines, it can be easy to forget something as comparatively subtle as a growing intergenerational divide.

Our story begins with a meme, as most great things do. The spread of the “OK Boomer” meme meant different things to different people. Too many Gen Z’ers, it was a firm rejection of outdated conservatism. Too many Baby Boomers, it was a demonstration of ageism and undeserved entitlement. However, one thing was clear: in a world more connected than ever, our generations had never been farther apart.

Misunderstandings, prejudices, and unfounded assumptions cloud our views of other people who are different than us. Not all older people are conservative, curmudgeonly fascists. Not all young people are screen-addicted snowflakes. Yet in a society where their conflict is put first and foremost, it can be very difficult to cut through the noise and see people for more than their status.

Our club recognizes these differences. And our club seeks to reconcile them. Celebrate them. By bringing teens and seniors together through service, programs, and events, we attempt to close the gap the best way we know how: exposure. With every interaction, we grow closer and closer to understanding one another as individuals. Not as generalizations.

This club was founded by a group of teenagers who recognized the value generations are able to offer to one another. Our mission is simple: to help others do the same.
